The bitter principles present in the herb show alterative, antidiabetic, antiinflammatory, antioxidant, antiperiodic, antipyretic, antiulcer, blood purifier, diuretic, febrifuge, hepatoprotective, immunostimulant, stomachic, tonic and vermifuge properties.
